Availability Templates
Availability Templates have been introduced to make it easier for you to set your future availability schedule.
How does it work?
Tap on ‘Availability’ in the main bottom menu
Â
The ‘Weekly’ tab will be open by default – tap on the ‘Template’ tab
Â
You’ll notice that specific dates will no longer appear in the interface, where you will only see the 7 days of the week (MON through SUN)
Â
You can start tapping on cells and cycling through the different status options
You can also tap on the paintbrush icon in the top left-hand corner of the grid to select a specific status
Once you have set your chosen weekly schedule, tap on the ‘Save’ button at the top of the grid
You’ll notice that if you tap back over to the ‘Weekly’ tab, that the status cells that you set in your template will display in a lighter shade
This has been setup so that you can see the difference between your template status cells, and your manual ‘Weekly’ cells, allowing you to override the template where required
Â
Using Availability Templates with Multiple Groups
If you belong to multiple BART groups, you’ll be able to setup individual Availability Templates for each group.
Tap on ‘Availability’ in the bottom menu – the ‘Weekly’ tab will be open by default
Â
Tap on the ‘Templates’ tab
Â
Then tap on the ‘Groups’ icon in the top right-hand corner of your screen
Â
A popup will appear, listing each of the BART groups that you belong to
Â
By default, ‘All Groups’ will be selected, which will record your availability Template updates across all groups
To update your Availability Template for a specific group, tap on one of the groups listed
When you’re happy with your Availability Template update, tap on ‘Save’ at the top of the screen
Â
You’ll notice that if you tap back over to the ‘Weekly’ tab, that the status cells that you set in your template will display in a lighter shade of colour
Â
The ‘All Groups’ Template
The ‘All Groups’ selection is set by default when you visit the ‘Availability’ screen.
When setting an Availability Template for ‘All Groups’, the lighter shade status cells will display in the ‘Weekly’ view regardless of the group selected.
These lighter shade status cells will also display in the ‘Template’ view, if you select a specific group.
For example; If I have my Availability Template that’s been saved for ‘All Groups’ and then go and select a specific group, I can see the ‘All Groups’ template cells in a lighter shade.
I can then set my cell statuses for the selected group, which will override the ‘All Groups’ template cells.
