Import a List of Map Markers

Import a List of Map Markers

  1. Navigate to the ‘Administration’ item within the main menu and hover over with your mouse

  2. A list of sub-menu items will appear – select ‘Markers’

  1. Navigate to the ‘Import’ tab

  2. Choose the group that you would like to import the markers for by clicking on the dropdown at the top of the page

  3. Click on the ‘Download CSV’ link; this will provide you with a template to fill out your marker details

  4. Save the CSV document on your computer and open it up

  5. You will see 4 fields that need to be filled for each entry:

  • Latitude

  • Longitude

  • Description

  • Type (ie. Station)

Please note: We now trim the lat/long to 5 decimal points

Here is a list of the Types available. For your upload to work correctly please type the exact text of the marker type:

  • UNIT

  • WATERPOINT

  • WORKCENTRE

  1. Save your modified CSV

  2. Choose an ‘Import Name’ and browse for your saved spreadsheet

10 After your Map Markers have been successfully imported, you will see a confirmation message

11. Imported Map Makers may take several hours before they appear in the Group map marker list
