Why are my Notifications Delayed?

If your Agency or Organisation hasn’t yet integrated with the BART system, your Broadcast Notifications are delivered by Off-air Decoders.

 

The process where BART receives messages via our off air network is as follows:

  1. We record the information in BART as noted in the screen shot. The message is already in BART for viewing before the push notification is received.

  2. BART then within less than half a second, sends in bulk a message to the three phone providers the member phone tokens

  3. The three phone providers then individually send the actual push notification to all the member phone token members

  4. The push notification actually alerts the member of the message already within BART

 

Please Note: The timing could be affected by Wi-Fi, internet, traffic with the phone providers, member being in a non-internet area.

 

Suggestion

The best way to in an attempt to solve the problem is to uninstall BART, turn off your phone for one minute then restart your phone. Next download BART direct from the App Store.
