Events can be created on a recurring basis, which may be:

  • Daily

  • Weekly

  • Monthly

  • Annually

Event Notifications 

Broadcasts for events can be sent out immediately or scheduled for distribution at a specific time, ie. The day before, or two days before etc.

Additional Dates

Random dates may be added into the series of events, which won’t affect the existing series.


Create a Recurring Event

Please note: to create an event you must have the ‘Create Event’ permission enabled on your profile by a Group Administrator

BART Team App

  1. Open the BART Team App on your device

  2. Tap on the ‘Events’ option in the main bottom menu

  3. Tap on the plus ( + ) icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen

  4. Create your event as you would normally by filling out the relevant details

  5. Scroll down the screen until you reach the ‘Repeat’ section

  6. Tap on ‘Repeat’ and select from the options:

    1. Frequency – daily, weekly, monthly, annually

    2. Every – day, week, month, year (ie. for a ‘weekly’ frequency, Every 2nd week)

    3. Day/ Date – select a day of the week, or a specific date

    4. On the – select from the first, second, third or fourth and select a day of the week from Sunday to Saturday (ie. The third Sunday)

    5. Occurrence – how many repeats (ie. 10 times)

    6. Until – end date of repeats

    7. Broadcast – how many days before each event in the series should a broadcast be sent out (ie. 1 day it will be sent 24 hours before)

      Please note: the options available may change, depending on your ‘Frequency’ selection

  7. When you’re ready, tap back to the event

  8. You can choose to send a Broadcast out now, or select a date and time for the first Broadcast to be sent out

  9. Events are automatically locked when a Broadcast has been sent out and members have responded with their attendance

  10. 10.  Each event in the series can also be locked individually to prevent unwanted changes

  11. 11.  When you’re ready, tap ‘Save

  

Members WebApp

  1. Log into the BART Members WebApp

  2. Select ‘Events’ from the main menu

  3. If you have ‘Create Event’ permissions for more than one group, select your group from the dropdown provided

  4. Select the blue ‘NEW +’ button

  5. A popup dialogue box will appear

  6. Create your event as you usually would by filling out the relevant details

  7. Select your required:

    1. Frequency – daily, weekly, monthly, annually

    2. Every – day, week, month, year (ie. for a ‘weekly’ frequency, Every 2nd week)

    3. Day/ Date – select a day of the week, or a specific date

    4. On the – select from the first, second, third or fourth and select a day of the week from Sunday to Saturday (ie. The third Sunday)

    5. Occurrence – how many repeats (ie. 10 times)

Update an Event

You can update a single future event in a series, or update all future events within a series. 

BART Team App 

  1. Open up the BART Team App on your device

  2. Navigate to the ‘Events’ option in the main bottom menu

  3. Tap on the event you would like to update or delete

  4. The Event details window will display

  5. To ‘Update’ a single Event in the series:

    1. Tap on a specific event in the series

    2. Any field that isn’t disabled may be updated

    3. Click on the green ‘Save’ button

    4. A popup will appear with the options

      1. Save This

      2. Save All

      3. Save All Future

  6. Choose ‘Save This’ to save the selected event in the series

  7. To ‘Update’ either ‘All Future’ or ‘All’ events in the series

    1. Tap on your event

    2. Any field that isn’t disabled may be updated

    3. Click on the green ‘Save’ button

    4. A popup will appear with the options

      1. Save This

      2. Save All

      3. Save All Future

    5. Choose either ‘All Future’ or ‘All’ events in the series

 

Members WebApp

  1. Open the Members WebApp

  2. Navigate to the ‘Events’ option in the main menu

  3. Click on the first event in the series

  4. The ‘Update Event’ popup dialogue box will appear

  5. Any field that isn’t disabled may be updated

  6. To update a single event in the series:

    1. Click on the green ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the screen

    2. A popup will appear with the options

      1. Save This

      2. Save All

      3. Save All Future

    3. Choose ‘Save This’ to save the selected event in the series

  7. To ‘Update’ either ‘All Future’ or ‘All’ events in the series

    1. Click on the green ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the screen

    2. A popup will appear with the options

      1. Save This

      2. Save All

      3. Save All Future

    3. Choose ‘Save All’ or ‘Save All Future’ to save the selected event in the series

 

Delete an Event

BART Team App

  1. Open up the BART Team App on your device

  2. Navigate to the ‘Events’ option in the main bottom menu

  3. Tap on the event you would like to update or delete

  4. The Event details window will display

  5. To Delete a single Event in the series:

    1. Tap on a specific event in the series and tap on the Rubbish Bin icon

    2. You will be given the option of deleting

      1. This Event

      2. All Future Events

      3. All Events in the series

    3. Choose ‘This’ to delete the selected Event in the series

  6. To Delete all events or all future events:

    1. Tap on your event and then tap on the Rubbish Bin

    2. You will be given the option of deleting

      1. This Event

      2. All Future Events

      3. All Events in the series

    3. Choose either ‘All Future’ events or ‘All’ events in the series

Members WebApp

  1. Open the Members WebApp

  2. Navigate to the ‘Events’ option in the main menu

  3. Click on the first event in the series

  4. The ‘Update Event’ popup dialogue box will appear

  5. To Delete a single Event in the series:

    1. Click on the red ‘Delete’ button at the bottom of the popup window

    2. You will be given the option of deleting

      1. This Event

      2. All Future Events

      3. All Events in the series

    3. Choose ‘This Event’

  6. To Delete all events or all future events:

    1. Click on the red ‘Delete’ button at the bottom of the popup window

      1. This Event

      2. All Future Events

      3. All Events in the series

    2. Choose either ‘All Future’ events or ‘All’ events in the series
