Receive SMS Notifications
You can receive your broadcast messages via SMS instead of or in addition to push notifications. This may be handy for those who don’t have access to a smartdevice, or for the added security of receiving broadcasts from multiple channels.
To receive broadcast messages via SMS, you must:
Have a BART membership with a current subscription
Have pre-purchased SMS credits - individually or through your group or district (you can purchase SMS credits here)
Your membership settings must have 'SMS Send Instructions' set to ON (you may need to talk to your group administrator to enable this setting)
You must have a valid mobile number in their Contact Methods (on the front page of the members profile) and the mobile number needs to be set to SMS.
The broadcast tags relating to your membership must have the 'SMS' column set to 'ALL'
If you're an administrator, you can read through all the steps to set your members up with SMS here
