The incident location is incorrect - how do I update it?

Problem

A new broadcast has appeared in your feed, but the location is incorrect.

Solution

Please note: In order to move the location of an incident within the BART system, you must have the relevant permissions enabled.

There are 3 ways in which you're able to change the location of an incident within the BART Team App:

1. Local Change

a. Tap on the broadcast that you want to modify the location for

b. Tap on the map preview; you will be taken to the full screen map view

c. Tap on the incident pin and hold it until the map moves slightly behind the pin

d. Whilst still holding the pin down, drag it across the map to the correct location

e. Once you let go of the pin, you will be asked to confirm whether you want to ‘Confirm Location Change’.

f. If you’re happy with the updated location, tap on the ‘Confirm’ option

2. Remote Change (Option A)

a. Choose the broadcast that you want to modify the location for

b. Tap on the map preview; you will be taken to the full screen map view

c. Tap once on the incident pin to display the information bubble, then tap on the bubble itself

d. You will be prompted to enter in a new address for the incident location

e. Begin entering in your new address, and you will see an automated list of locations to choose from

f. Select one of the locations provided, and you will be prompted to ‘Confirm Location Change

g. Tap ‘Confirm

3. Remote Change (Option B)

a. Choose the broadcast that you want to modify the location for

b. Tap on the ‘Options’ arrow in the top right-hand corner of the broadcast row

c. You will see a list of options appear

d. Tap on ‘Update Location

e. You will be prompted to enter in a new address for the incident location

f. Begin entering in your new address, and you will see an automated list of locations to choose from

g. Select one of the locations provided, and you will be prompted to ‘Confirm Location Change

h. Tap ‘Confirm
