Set a Member up with IVR

If one of your group members has requested to receive IVR messages, you can follow the steps below to set them up. The process involves 2 steps:

Part 1

  1. The IVR service requires credits to be purchased, which can be on a Group or Individual basis: you can purchase credits via our online shop here

  2. Once you have some credits, log into the BART Members WebApp

  3. Select ‘Administration’ from the main menu, and select ‘Members

  4. If you administer more than one group, select the relevant group with the dropdown menu provided

  5. Click on the member you would like to setup with IVR – a popup dialogue box will appear, with the ‘Profile’ tab open by default

  6. Scroll down to the ‘Contact Methods’ section

  7. You’ll see the options:

    1. SMS – mobile only

    2. Voice (IVR) – mobile and landlines

    3. Primary (primary means of contact) – email and mobile

    4. Private (details will only be visible to your administrator) – mobile, email and landline

  8. Tap on the ‘Add +’ button

  9. In the ‘Type’ field, use the dropdown provided to select either ‘mobile’ or ‘landline’

  10. In the ‘Value’ field, enter in your members phone number

  11. Tick the check boxes if the IVR contact method is their ‘Primary’ method of contact or if the number is ‘Private

  12. When you’re ready, tap on the green save icon at the end of the row

Please note: Regular members are able to complete this first step, however the second step below must also be completed by an Administrator.

Part 2

  1. With your members dialogue box open, click on the ‘Broadcast Tags’ tab

  2. On the relevant Broadcast Tag(s), use the dropdown provided under the ‘Voice’ column

  3. Choose from the options:

    1. None – no voice calls will be received

    2. Non-alerts Only – member will receive messages for all messages that aren’t alerts

    3. Alerts Only – member will receive messages for alert broadcasts only

    4. All – member will receive messages for both alerts and non-alerts

  4. When you’re ready, click on the green ‘Save’ button
